Evidence and commands

• Verified git merge-base returns no merge base and git rev-list --left-right --count returns exactly 1 109.

• Verified the only historical pathname absent without rename detection is the 100% byte-identical icon case rename from LogTTY.icns to logTTY.icns.
• Verified the live unified-log collector is already present; its collector blob is byte-identical, its identity-corrected source and tests remain present, and current product truth already records the measured rationale.
• Ran full swift test: 238 tests passed across five target summaries (11 + 27 + 93 + 70 + 37), zero failures.
• Ran every Tests/ScriptTests/*.sh: app-icon, migration, and release-packaging contracts passed.
• Ran script/verify_product_identity.sh: passed.
• Ran git diff --check on the committed delta and verified the isolated worktree is clean.

Decision and lifecycle

Coordination and remaining action

• Published the one-writer check-in before creating the worktree.
• Ran the required Notes publisher. It initially filed the record in the legacy llmlog folder; moved the single exact matching note into the host folder and verified llmlog=0, rdmsm4x=1.
• The operating PROJECTS.md update was not written because a fresh XEntropy check-in owned that shared file at 2026-08-28 21:10 EDT; this avoids last-writer-wins. The LogTTY repository records are complete without it, and the shared index can be updated after that lease releases.

Undo

The documentation change is isolated and unpushed. To undo, leave canonical main unchanged and remove the linked worktree with git worktree remove /Users/richh/dev/apps/.worktrees/logtty-orphan-evidence-classification-20260828, then delete the local branch only after confirming commit 2be0f72fff2a0ea32a8bd335307ee6ed6d794885 is no longer needed. Do not delete the preservation packet or archive/orphan-main-20260823 tag.
